OPHELIA

BIRD CAGE
So a few days ago I asked my patrons for some ideas! I knew this week I wanted to film a Let's Draw Something video and OH BOY, they did come up with some AWESOME suggestions. This was one of them:

Esta fue una de ellas: Mo Ray "Me encantaría ver una ilustración de una samurai o una inventora con su inusual pero encantador robot o cualquier cosa que quieras dibujar :) "

REAL HUMAN BONES
For this painting I was really inspired by my cousin Fernanda. She's an archeologist, and once I went to her house and she had ancient human bones in her own bedroom. Even though she was doing a study, and this part of her job, I was shocked! REAL HUMAN BONES! She told me it's really common among archeologists to continue their investigations outside labs in their own houses or studios. And I felt really inspired! I thought about the story of this archeologist girl, who's able to see and listen ghosts of ancient civilisation, while examining their bones late at night.
Yesterday my patrons got the chance to watch this video before it was published, and some of them mentioned this story is similar to Anya's Ghost and I couldn't agree more, I didn't notice how alike they both are! Anyway, please watch Anya's Ghost, it's a wonderful graphic novel :)

~ Esta pintura fue inspirada en mi prima Fernanda. Ella es una arqueóloga, y una vez fui a su casa y tenía huesos antiguos de humanos en su propia pieza! A pesar de que eran para un estudio que estaba haciendo en ese entonces, y esto es parte de su trabajo, yo estaba en shock! HUESOS HUMANOS REALES! Ella me dijo que entre los arqueólogos era mega común continuar sus estudios fuera del laboratorio en sus casas u oficinas. Y me sentí muy inspirada! Pensé en la historia de una arqueóloga que puede ver y escuchar fantasmas de antiguas civilizaciones, mientras examina sus huesos hasta tarde.
Ayer mis Patrons vieron este video antes de ser publicado y un par de ellos me dijeron que la historia se parece a Anya's Ghost y no puede ser más cierto! No me había dado cuenta!! Si pueden por favor lean Anya's Ghost, es una increíble novela gráfica.

Oh dear Diana the Huntress. Even though I'm really against hunting, Diana was also the goddess of the moon and childbirth, and she was also associated with wild animals and woodland. She had the power to talk to and control animals, ins't that cool?
~ Oh querida Diana la Cazadora. A pesar de que estoy mega en contra de la caza, Diana era también la diosa de la luna y el nacimiento, y también era asociada con animales salvajes y el bosque. Ella tenía el poder de hablar y controlar a los animales, no es eso lo más genial del mundo?
