A REGULAR INKTOBER DAY
A regular day doing Inktober and some useful tips when you approch a monthly drawing challenge! Follow the youtube link for more information about the materiales I used :)

CATHERINE AND HER FATE
So for my last Inktober illustration, I decided to do The Story of Catherine and Her Fate, an italian fairy tale in which Catherine is haunted by her fate. Her fate comes in the shape of a beautiful woman and, let me tell ya, her fate is a bitch: she destroys everything and makes Catherine's life a living hell.
If you're wondering why I'm only doing 21 illustrations instead of 31, I did explain this a little bit on this video and on this one. Thanks for joining me on Inktober 2015! Stay tuned for the sale I'll be doing for the originals, don't worry I'll let you know when, where and how that happens!
~ Para mi última ilustración de Inktober, decidí ilustrar el cuento italiano La Historia de Catherine y Su Destino, en el cual Catherine es perseguida por su destino. Su destino adopta la forma de una hermosa mujer que, déjenme decirles, es una perra: ella destruye todo y hace la vida de Catherine un infierno.
Si se están preguntado por qué sólo haré 21 ilustraciones en vez de 31 para este reto, expliqué un poco los motivos en este video y en este otro que acabo de subir. Gracias a todos por acompañarme en Inktober 2015! Estén atentos a la venta que haré de los originales, no se preocupen que les haré saber de todos los pormenores!
FRAU HOLLE
For today's inktober, one lovely person on Instagram suggested me the Frau Holle tale, in which a young girl works for an old lady, doing some cleaning, making her bed and (by the old lady's request) shaking her pillows every day until the feathers turn into snow. After working really hard, the old lady covered the young girl with gold, so.... can anyone give me the address of that old lady, please?
~ Para el inktober de hoy, una persona muy amable en Instagram me sugirió el cuento de Madre Nieve, en que una joven trabaja para una viejita limpiando su casa, haciendo su cama, y (a pedido de la viejecita) agitando sus cojines hasta formar nieve. Después de trabajar muy duro, la viejita cubrió a la niña en oro, así que.... alguien puede darme la dirección de esa viejecita?
STAR MONEY

BABA YAGA
After months of reading lots and lots of fairy tales, I've came across patterns or same characters in different stories. Baba Yaga is one of those characters. She is an evil cannibal witch and you can see her in many fairy tales! This story in particular is very similar to The Magic Wild Geese (that I've already illustrated in this challenge) and it's about a girl who must work for Baba Yaga and then (le spoiler) runs away from her. At the end, in every story, everybody always runs away from Baba Yaga.
Today, whilst I was searching for the Baba Yaga tale, I've found three versions of this same story. Isn't this amazing?
~ Luego de leer incontables cuentos de hadas durante meses, me he topado con muchos patrones y personajes que se repiten en diferentes historias. Baba Yaga es uno de esos personajes. Ella es una bruja perversa y caníbal, que puede encontrarse en muchas historias! Esta historia en particular es muy parecida a el cuento de los gansos mágicos y locos (que ya ilustré en este mismo desafío), y es sobre una chicha que debe trabajar para Baba Yaga y al final (le spoiler) huye de ella. Bueno, en todos los cuentos que aparece Baba Yaga, todos terminan huyendo de ella.
Hoy, mientras buscaba este cuento, me encontré tres versiones de la misma historia. No les parece fascinante?

PRINCESS VASILISA
Things I've learned from fairy tales so far: frogs are always pretty people or/and princes or princesses. For today's inktober I illustrated The Frog Princess or Princess Vasilisa.
~ Cosas que hasta ahora he aprendido de los cuentos de hadas: los sapos son siempre gente hermosa y/o príncipes o princesas. Para el Inktober del día de hoy ilustré La Princesa Sapo o La Princesa Vasilisa.
ALYONUSHKA
Can't believe we're on Inktober day 12! For today's illustration I did the russian fairy tale Sister Alyonushka and Brother Ivanushka (and yes, that goat you see there, he's the brother).
~ No puedo creer que estemos en el día 12 de Inktober! Para el día de hoy, ilustré el cuento ruso Sister Alyonushka and Brother Ivanushka (y sí, esa cabra es su hermano).

WEE LITTLE HAVROSHECHKA
For today's inktober I illustrated the russian tale Wee Little Havroshechka. It's weird, it has really mean characters but I loved how it is totally possible that you can be besties with a cow (a magic cow, but a cow nonetheless).
~ Para el inktober de hoy, elegí el cuento ruso Wee Little Havroshechka. Es raro, tiene personajes extremadamente perversos, pero amé como es totalmente factible ser mejor amiga de una vaca (una vaca mágica, pero una vaca al fin y al cabo).
THE BEAR
So, your mom is dying. She's the most beautiful woman in the world and before she dies, she ask your dad that if he's marrying someone again, he must marry a woman of equal beauty. After months and months of searching the perfect wife, your father doesn't find anybody so he decides to marry you. You try to convince your dad that that's insane, but he has made his decision. So what do you do? You run away.
And because you're scared he's going to find you, you turn into a bear. Of course.

~ Entonces: tu mamá está muriendo. Ella es la mujer más hermosa en el mundo, y antes de morir, le pide a tu papá que si él se llegase a casar con alguien otra vez, debe hcerlo con una mujer igual de hermosa que ella. Luego de meses y meses de búsqueda sin éxito, tu padre no encuentra a nadie y decide casarse contigo. Tu, obviamente, tratas de convencerlo que es una locura pero él ya tomó una decisión. ¿Qué haces? Huyes.
Y como tienes miedo que él te encuentre, te transformas en un oso. Obvio.

For today's Inktober I drew Gretel (from Hansel and Gretel) because she's a total badass!
~ Para el Inktober del día de hoy, dibujé a Gretel (de Hansel y Gretel) porque es mega chingona! (quise usar la palabra cabrona, pero esa palabra puede usarse también como algo negativo, y Gretel es todo menos algo negativo)
SNOW QUEEN
The Snow Queen tale, for Inktober day 7! Oh yes, this is the original tale in which The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe AND Frozen was based on. Don't you think is the most interesting thing ever?
~ La Reina de las Nieves, para Inktober día 7! Oh sí, este es el cuento original en que se basó el libro El León, la Bruja y el Ropero Y Frozen. ¿No creen que es la cosa más interesante del mundo?
